SkiBig3 is currently recruiting for the Seasonal position of Revenue Auditor to join our team with a start date of mid-October.

SkiBig3 departments, Banff Sunshine, The Lake Louise Ski Resort and Mt Norquay, SkiBig3 Partners

Summary Description:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the primary focus of the person in this role is to ensure timely and accurate revenue audit, banking and reporting functions meeting weekly and monthly deadlines. The Revenue Auditor will be responsible for daily sales and receipt entries into the accounting system, producing reports for internal and external use as well as maintaining internal accounting schedules and workbooks.

Duties & Responsibilities Include:

Accounting Operations:

  • Timely collection and collation of revenue documents from retail locations, integrated systems and resorts.
  • Accurate counting, recording and depositing of cheques and cash receipts.
  • Liaise with retail and resort guest services to feedback, resolve and provide training on errors and formatting issues.
  • Entering daily sales and receipts into Sage accounting system.
  • Maintain internal revenue document filing to meet auditing requirements.
  • Update and maintain schedules of completed cash outs.
  • Prepare invoices for Travel Trade and adhoc revenues as assigned by AR Analyst.
  • Daily ticket/pass usage reporting, changes and reconciliation during Winter season.
  • Reconcile refunds from Moneris to Sage, Vouchers, Partner Tickets, B2B updates
  • Compile usage data and prepare YTD usage reports. Maintain usage changes from partner resorts
  • Prepare annual working paper package for the external auditors
  • Plan and implement continuous process improvements
  • Support systems and process that move toward the goal of paperless accounting
  • Provide detailed analysis from data warehouse reporting to help with management decisions
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Perform accounting and analytical tasks associated with periodic and annual financial close:

  • Prepare assigned journal entries, accounts receivable aging & account reconciliations

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, or comparable technical work experience
  • Knowledge of accounting software applications
  • Excellent skills in Excel
  • Tourism background a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Ability to identify, develop and implement improvements to processes and procedures
  • Highly self-motivated, team orientated
  • Individual who continuously upgrades skill-set, embraces change and learns about new best practices in their area of responsibility
  • Personable with high integrity and sense of fun

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to legally work in Canada required
