Working at the University of Guelph’s Ridgetown Campus, in Ridgetown, ON, the Communications and Engagement Coordinator will manage a diverse portfolio of individual and/or collaborative communications, marketing, and engagement projects working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders. The combined efforts of this professional team will be focused on growing the business at OAC’s Ridgetown Campus. The individuals will prioritize multiple work projects to support Ridgetown Campus’ financial sustainability, operational excellence, and organizationally resiliency. They will lead individual portfolio projects as well as work collaboratively on a regular basis within the team’s expertise and skillset to meet or exceed project timelines and milestones. Projects will be delivered on and off-site, and in-person and/or online.

Requirements for the position include: a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Marketing or related area, with a minimum of two years of relevant experience designing, developing, implementing and evaluating communications and engagement strategies, preferably in a revenue-generating academic or continuing education setting, focused on professional marketing and branding development or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The successful candidate must work proactively and be able to demonstrate knowledge of current marketing and design practices, project management, tact and diplomacy, and problem solving skills while working in a fast-paced work environment that will highlight their exceptional creative, digital, website, oral, and/or written communications skills. Technical skills required include advanced knowledge in Office 365, ability to effectively design, develop and integrate communication tools to meet curricular needs, including demonstrated skill and good judgment in selection of appropriate platforms for material development and sharing and strong visual design skillset and experience in Adobe Suite Adobe design suite (InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, and Illustrator). The individuals must possess excellent project coordination skills, with the ability to take a project from an initial idea through delivery, meeting deadlines and working under pressure in a diverse team environment as well as be able to manage time, stakeholder groups, and resources available for efficient operation of the project/program.
