What’s the role about?
This role will own our whole IT function. From IT onboarding and offboarding to providing advice and guidance to leadership on how to keep our IT systems and processes up to date and running smoothly, we need someone who can do it all!
, KW Counselling and Monica Place are going through some exciting changes and are working to Unify with KW Counselling and Monica Place into one organization. Reporting to ’s Director of Corporate Supports, the Manager of IT Services will be a key player in helping this unification happen smoothly. This role will own the project management to amalgamate all IT systems, ensuring all three organizations are able to come together smoothly and operate as one.
The Manager of IT Services is accountable for the effective deployment of IT and telecommunications systems across the unified organization. They manage the outsourced helpdesk service provider contract, supervise IT co-op students and develop and implement IT onboarding/offboarding processes. The Manager of IT Services is the internal technical resource to ensure that systems are maximized to support the operational and strategic objectives of the organization. This includes taking a proactive approach to providing technology advice and direction by evaluating present and future needs, trends, problems and service opportunities.
Within the next year, the IT Manager will project manage the integration of IT and phone systems related to the unification of , KW Counselling Services and Monica Place into one organization. In the first years of integration, they will also lead the IT implementation aspects of the redesign of our intake function, with a steadfast focus on enhancing the client experience.
What will I be doing?
The person in this role will start as a lone wolf, owning the whole IT function. You will:
Lead the amalgamation of IT systems for the 3 organizations coming together managing all aspects of the project and the relationship with the IT consultant
Manage the relationship with our outsourced helpdesk provider
Develop and implement smooth IT onboarding/offboarding processes
Keep leadership up to date on technology trends, problems and opportunities and provide them with recommendations
Lead the IT aspects of the redesign of our intake function, with a focus on enhancing the client experience
Systems management and maintenance
Perform risk assessments on our systems and processes and implement IT security practices to best protect from vulnerabilities
Develop and conduct training sessions for end users and create training materials for end users
Maintain working relationships with vendors and third-party providers, ensuring contracts are up to date and cost effective
Ensure IT processes are documented and updated
Grow and lead the IT team when the time comes!
What are we looking for?
Experience in progressive roles in technology networks and system support
Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Microsoft Exchange, SQL, and Server Management (infrastructure planning and development)
Strong knowledge of technological trends; excellent understanding of server-based networks; knowledge of best practices; and proven ability to manage network service providers and third parties.
Experience managing IT security with good understanding of disaster avoidance and recovery issues.
Customer focused with strong ability to deal with all levels of the organization
Strong project management experience and organizational skills
Ability to plan and budget appropriately
