We are continuously expanding to better serve the resort communities of the Rocky Mountains. Position Overview We require a full-time Accounting Clerk that will be responsible for the accurate reporting of all revenue for all Hotels & other Residential dwellings under the management of Basecamp Property Management Ltd. They will also be assisting the controller with accounting entries for all businesses under the Basecamp Property Management.Salary: $55,000 to $65,000Full-time/PermanentShifts: 8-hour/ day 40 work week Key Responsibilities Income Auditing

  • Reconcile the daily Room Revenue sales at each hotel.
  • Reconcile all hotel receivables.
  • Prepare bills/invoices from parent company to all hotels for monthly expenses.
  • Prepare the monthly remittance forms for Tourism Canmore Kananaskis.
  • Ensure all monthly rents are collected from our rental Properties.
  • Keep updated Rent Rolls.
  • Assist with the setup of each Point-of-Sale System for all new properties.


  • Assist Controller in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
  • Assist in financial and tax audits, general ledger preparation
  • Updating financial data in databases to ensure the accuracy of the information
  • Upload the trial balance in QuickBooks to the appropriate receivable accounts
  • Reconcile the intercompany accounts, and work with the Controller on any discrepancies
  • Prepare monthly tax remittances; MRDT and PST for BC properties
  • Prepare quarterly Tourism levy remittance
  • Assist with GST returns
  • Prepare and review payables for multiple companies and prepare EFT payment files for approval
  • Assist in any inter-company transactions

General Duties

  • Assist in preparing bank reconciliation.
  • Assist with Payroll.
  • Support management and other internal staff members and departments.
  • Ensure effective communication with Clients and Consultants.
  • Provide administration backup when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Work independently and possess good time management skills.
  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Skills and Experience

  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office suite; intermediate Excel Software skills.
  • Advanced level in QuickBooks online.
  • Analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Previous experience in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines and changing priorities.


  • Minimum: Hold a business administration with accounting major or accountant or finance diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in related accounting field.
  • Sounds understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
